Quotation that sums up my day
For most men, life is a search for the proper manila envelope in which to get themselves filed.
Clifton Fadiman, US Author, Editor and Radio Host 1904-1999
Paragraph for 2nd November (word count at 3,157)
Seymour hesitated, his voice drying up in his throat. His political career was important to him. Once his year as Mayor was over, it had been intimated he would be a strong contender for selection as prospective parliamentary candidate for Newbury and Middlehalgh. It had also been mooted in national political circles that Digby Hart was tipped to become the next leader of the Conservative party. How he reacted now, with the Justice Minister sprawled at his feet begging for his help could either kill his political career as easily as a swatted fly, or secure his future as surely as if he stood between two mirrors, his image reflected into infinity.
